He is the top tennis player who disappointed fans last month when he left Wimbledon in the first round.But it seems that Rafael Nadal is still number one to his stunning girlfriend, who showered the 27-year-old player with love and affection as the pair holidayed on a yacht near his hometown of Majorca.
The player and his Spanish girlfriend Maria Perello looked engrossed in each other’s company on Thursday as they sunbathed on the player’s luxury yacht with their arms wrapped around each other. They looked as if they didn’t have a care in the world as they relaxed and bathed in the sea, with Rafa at one point showing off his athletic skills by jumping into the water.
They both sported deep tans, which they complemented by wearing white beach outfits.Rafa wore a pair of bright red shorts teamed with a white T-shirt, while Maria wore a white trilby hat teamed with a white T-shirt and denim cut-off shorts.Maria also showed off her lean figure in a black-and-white striped bikini and Rafa clearly wasn’t letting his famous physique slip, looking as fit and toned as ever.
The couple have been dating for eight years, with Maria, an insurance company worker, travelling to many of his games.But despite Rafa’s fame she is determined to remain independent and does not feel the need to constantly follow her other-half around the world.She explained: ‘Travelling together everywhere, even if I could, would not be good either for him or for me.’
