LAHORE: In a tit-for-tat move, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) on Tuesday announced to file a defamation case against MQM leadership.
Speaking to a private TV channel, PTI spokesperson Shireen Mazari said that PTI has already started consultation with lawyers to claim Rs10 billion in damages.She said that statements of MQM leaders have damaged the party’s reputation.
The move comes after the Muttahaida Qaumi Movement (MQM) on Tuesday filed a separate defamation case against Chairman of PTI Imran Khan claiming damages to the tune of Rs5 billion for hurling, what they it said, unfounded allegations against the MQM chief Altaf Hussain. – Brecorder
