Islamabad: Secretary Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) Ishtiak Ahmad Sunday termed that holding successful elections is the victory of nation and democracy.
Addressing a news conference in Islamabad on Sunday afternoon‚ he said the delay in the announcement of the results is due to the transparent process and legal procedure adopted by the Election Commission under section 39. Secretary Election Commission Ishtiak Ahmad has said that there should be no doubt about the election results.
Ishtiak Ahmad Khan said several reservations have been expressed in the media and by the people about the delay in the results due to the past practices and assured that this time the process was so designed that no tempering is possible.
The ECP Secretary said the presiding officer is bound to provide results of polling station to the agents of every candidate. – Onlinenews
