LAHORE: Pakistan Furniture Council (PFC) organised a three-day mega exhibition of furniture and interiors at the Lahore Expo Centre, which concluded on Sunday, attracting a large number of citizens, businessmen, exporters and other stakeholders.
Renowned furniture manufacturers and interior designers from all over Pakistan displayed their exquisite products’ range and services at the event.Renowned architect Nayyar Ali Dada was the chief guest who also addressed the visitors and the media and shared his views.Juggan Kazim was the host who mingled with the media and people around.
Prominent among 28 designers and manufacturers who displayed their creative furnishing and related services were Casa Hamza, Chen One, Indesign, TKID, Interwood, The Furniture Gallery, Barry’s Collection, Alqeetas Marbles, National Furniture, Haris Traders, Mohkam Furniture, Fantac Furniture, Workman Furniture, Happilac Paints, Black Horse Paints, Charagh Din & Company, Indoor Furniture, GR Aluminium, Grooves Interiors, Banu Mukhtar, Enviro Furniture and New Era Furniture.
Prominent among others present on the occasion were PFC CEO Mian Kashif Ashfaq, PFC Board of Directors member Maqbool Illahi, Indesign CEO Ghazala Rehman, Tina Khan of TKID, and Hamza Tarar of Kasa Hamza.Some of the designers and manufacturers also offered discounts and special offers to the visitors and prospective customers. Casa Hamza offered 30 percent discount on the latest furniture products, while Diamond Foam offered 20 percent discount on its products. Forgotten Crafts displayed handicraft made by women of Sindh and Balochistan.
The organiser, the Pakistan Furniture Council, is a non-profit balanced coalition of furniture manufacturers and designers. It is formed to promote sustainable practices with the best networking and education within the furniture industry. The PFC also helped furnishing industry professionals with support, education, and works to define standards for sustainability and growth of the furniture industry in Pakistan.
The PFC provided opportunities to young designers to step in to the furniture industry and encouraged everybody to join hands with the PFC to make this industry flourish.The Interiors Pakistan Expo attracted approximately 75,000 visitors to the exhibition.
