ISLAMABAD: Election Commission (EC) has posted details of nomination papers of 500 candidates including Chaudhry Pervez Elahi former deputy prime minister.
As per media reports, EC has received nomination papers of 9124 candidates while it has also received replies from NAB, FBR and state bank in respect of 4600 candidates.EC has released details of nomination paper in respect of Chaudhry Pervez Elahi on website.As per details, Pervez Elahi is BA and he has paid tax amounting to Rs 2.8 million during the last there years. Chaudhry Ahmad Saeed has filed nomination papers from NA-105 against Chaudhry Pervez Elahi.
Returning officers have sought original copies of utility bills and national tax number from the candidates for the purpose of scrutiny.The candidates will be adjudged on the touchstone of article 62 and 63 of the constitution in the perspective of scrutiny process.Nomination papers of 164 candidates from 2 constituencies of Islamabad will be subjected to scrutiny exercise.On the other hand EC has put on website names of 54 former parliamentarians who hold fake degrees. Degrees of 20 members of Punjab assembly were proved fake. 14 members of national assembly had not filed original educational degrees. – OnlineNews
