ISLAMABAD: Finance Ministry has released 1.75 billion rupees to the Election Commission for the forthcoming election expenditures.
The Commission has demanded 7.75 billion rupees as total expenditures after amending its earlier demand of 6 billion.The commission has already received 2.71 billion rupees.An official told state run media that Commission is receiving funds smoothly and there is no hurdle in its release from Finance Ministry. He said printing of ballot papers‚ advertisements and deployment of law enforcing agencies will require more money. He said the commission is releasing funds to the provinces in accordance to their requirements. – OnlineNews
