QUETTA:The dismissed chief minister of Balochistan Nawab Muhammad Aslam Raisani dispatched his resignation to Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (F) provincial chief and Islamic Ideological Council Chairman Maulana Muhammad Khan Sherani.
According to sources,Raisani had couriered his resignation to Sherani, however, Raisani did not confirm this.Sources said that the collation parties had evolved consensus in elimination of governor’s rule and formation of the new government. “They have also showed consensus for nominating new leader of the house that is why Raisani dispatched his resignation.” Nawab Raisani had sent his resignation some days back to Sherani instead of the PPP leadership,” sources added. The JUI-F and Balochistan National Party (BNP-Awami), along with other parties are lobbying in Islamabadfor elimination of governor’s rule.
During his meetings with President Asif Ali Zardari and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain, Maulana Sheranipresented three-point formula for formation of new provincial government. Sherani had offered that if governor’s rule was ended in Balochistan, he would get resignation of Nawab Aslam Raisani. – Nation
