Five killed, ten injured in Karakoram bus accident

SHANGLA: Five passengers were killed and ten seriously injured, when a Kohistan-bound bus plunged into thousands’ of feet deep ravine near Kot Shang junction of Karakoram Highway.

All deadbodies and wounded, hailing from Kohistan region were moved out by locals, whence the wounded, many of the in critical condition, were shifted to Civil Hospital of Bisham from where seriously injured were relocated to Ayub Medical Complex of Abbottabad.

The unfortunate bus, GLT-646 was carrying passengers from Rawalpindi, when a sleepy driver caused it to plunge into thousands’ feet of deep ravine, shattering into pieces.Among those killed include Shamsuddin r/o Jaglot, Siraj r/o Ranwalia, Abdul Nabi r/o Jaglot, Khanzada r/o Dammoo, and Tahir.The wounded include bus driver Fazal Khan, r/o Pattan, Abdul Hadi, Sadbar, Ayub, Tahira Bibi, Muhammad Nawaz, and Muhammad Zaki. One Mumtaz Ahmad hails from Lahore. – OnlineNews
