“We don’t accept SC orders on arrest of PM”, PPP leadership

ISLAMABAD: PPP leaders have termed the Supreme Court (SC) orders on arrest of Prime Minister (PM) Raja Pervez Ashraf as illegal and unconstitutional saying apex court or any other court has no authority to issue order for arrest of PM.

Reacting to SC verdict on PM arrest PPP leader Fawad Chaudhry said apex court orders were illegal and unconstitutional. Chief Justice of Pakistan (CJP) has made the country a pastime, he added. On one side Tahir ul Qadri is addressing long march and on the other side CJP has ordered for arrest of PM. “We will challenge SC decision in the parliament”, he held adding “we don’t accept this verdict”.

Information minister Sindh Sharjeel Memon said conspiracies are afoot to derail democracy. The man who took oath from former dictator Pervez Musharraf is engaged in hatching conspiracies against the democracy, he alleged. “We don’t accept unconstitutional steps”, he stated. – OnlineNews
