Army ready to tackle all impending threats: Kayani

SIALKOT: “Pakistan Army is ready to tackle all direct and indirect challenges to safeguard security of the motherland.”This was said by Chief of Army Staff (COAS) General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani during his visit to Sialkot Garrison on Tuesday to view the Army Mobilisation Exercise.

The exercise is being conducted to validate the recent changes in mobilisation system of the Army. The changes aim at improving the mobility of soldiers to align it with Army’s New Concept of War Fighting, which has already been evolved and validated in the Azm-e-Nau series of wargames and exercises. The COAS emphasised the need for the Army to remain fully prepared to respond to the full spectrum of threat, be it direct, indirect, overt or covert. The COAS, on his arrival, was received by Gujranwala Corps Commander Lieutenant General Muzammil Hussain. – PT
