Lahore: The strike of the Young Doctors Association (YDA) Punjab continued on the second day across the province on Thursday following the arrest of 12 doctors in Gujranwala.
The doctors were arrested for threatening Dr Anwar Aman, the medical superintendent of Gujranwala District Headquarters Hospital, and ransacking his office. The arrested included Dr Kashif Bilal, the president of the YDA chapter in Gujranwala.On the other hand, the provincial government said that it would take strict action against the doctors who are absent from their duties.Thousands of the patients have been suffering outside hospitals in severe cold as the doctors were on strike. – Onlinenews
