ISLAMABAD: The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has taken serious notice of complaints received from various individuals as well as political parties regarding posting/transfers in PS-21 Naushero Feroze where bye-election is going to be held on Nov 17.

The ECP has directed the Provincial Election Commissioner (PEC) Sindh to cancel all postings and transfers of officials made after the issuance of the election schedule.In compliance, the Inspector General Police, Sindh Fayaz Ahmad Leghari has cancelled the posting of DSP Kandiaro.Deputy Commissioner, Naushero Feroze has been asked to submit a report regarding transfers and posting of officials in Revenue Department after which he has cancelled/withdrawn all the transfer orders of revenue officials.

Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) Justice (Retd) Fakhruddin G Ebrahim has also directed the Chief Secretary, Sindh government to ensure that no government machinery/state resources were used in electoral campaign activities in favor of any candidate.Commissioner Sukkur Division in response to CEC directives has immediately issued orders to the Deputy Commissioner Naushero Feroze to ensure the compliance of CEC’s order accordingly. – PT
