Zil-Haj moon sighted; Eid on Oct 27

KARACHI: The zonal committee made the announcement that the ‘Zil-Haj’ moon was sighted on Wednesday and Eid would be celebrated on Oct 27, Media reported.

A meeting of the Ruet-e-Hilal committee in Karachi was headed by Mufti Munib-ur-Rehman and also included Sparco, Navy and Metrological department representatives.The moon was also sighted in Lahore, Islamabad and Peshawar.While authorities in United Arab Emirates and Saudi-Arabia have announced that Eid would be observed there on Oct 26.
