ISLAMABAD: With a renewed pledge and commitment to safeguard the dear homeland, people on Thursday marked the Defence Day with national zeal and zest.
According to media reports, the day started with special prayers for the solidarity, sovereignty and integrity of the country. On this day in 1965 Pakistan’s valiant armed forces and the entire nation stood united to foil the nefarious designs of the enemy who had dared cast an evil eye on the territorial integrity and sovereignty of the country.The day dawned with Quran Khawani in all main mosques.
Special prayers were offered for solidarity, prosperity and integrity of the country and liberation of Kashmir. Floral wreaths were laid on the graves of martyrs to commemorate their sacrifices. – Nation
