LAHORE: Malaysian businessmen should explore the avenue of Pakistani market and enter in joint ventures with their Pakistani counterparts.
This was stated by business expert and the CEO Harvest Trading, Ahmad Jawad while talking to APP here on Wednesday.He said that trade between Pakistan and Malaysia has reached to $2.8 billion. It has impressive 14 percent increase over last year, but Pakistan’s share in bilateral trade is only $ 257 million indicating the balance of trade heavily in favour of Malaysia.
He added that this gap could be covered by increasing export of rice, fruit and Halal Meat to Malaysia.”It is our responsibility to increase our volumes in the near future and there is need to aware the Pakistan business community about the opportunities in the private sector of both countries”, he stressed.Ahmad Jawad said that Malaysia was one of the important regional markets for Pakistan agricultural products and we regard Malaysia as a market with good prospects. – Brecorder
