Special Eid sermons where organized at all mosques where Ulema stressed for unity of Muslim Ummah.
Prayers were offered for the prosperity and well being of the country. The largest Eid congregation in the federal capital was held at Faisal Mosque.In Rawalpindi, the biggest Eid congregation was held at Liaqat Bagh while in Lahore, biggest Eid congregation was held at Badshahi Mosque. Eid congregations were also held at Data Darbar, Masjid Shaudha, Masjid Wazir Khan and Bagh Jinnah. Special prayers were offered for the independence of Palestine and Kashmir and sustainable peace in the region.
Ulema and khateebs from different schools of thought delivered special sermons and lectures to highlight the significance of the day. The security has been further beefed up for Eid. A contingency plan has been issued to ensure and maintain law and order, safety and security of the general public.
