The Khalifa Bin Zayed Foundation has launched its iftar project in Pakistan on directives from the President His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan.
Followed up by Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Presidential Affairs and Chairman of the Board of The Khalifa Bin Zayed Foundation, the iftar project will run throughout Ramadan and will provide iftar banquets, food packages and clothes for widows, orphans, people with special needs and victims of natural disasters.
The Foundation today held Iftar banquets at an orphanage for 200 children and at Holy Family Hospital in Rawalpindi where two hundred patients and nurses were among the beneficiaries and gave out 500 food packages 500 food packages to victims of natural disasters in Swat Valley.The Embassy of the UAE oversaw the distribution of the Foundation’s effort in the Pakistani areas.Head of Surgical Unit at Holy Family Hospital Dr Faisal Mohammed Murad expressed appreciation of the UAE’s generous humanitarian and development initiatives for Pakistan. – Khaleejnews
