KARACHI: As per the directive of Sindh Chief Minister (CM) Syed Qaim Ali Shah a ‘price control cell’ has been established at the CM House under the supervision of additional secretary (coordination) aimed at to control the prices of essential commodities during Ramazan.
According to a notification issued here yesterday, the cell will be functional on round-the-clock basis to monitor the issues regarding price control of the essential commodities throughout the province, so that general public could be provided relief during Ramazan.
This central cell will remain in contact with the cells established for same purpose by the home department in the offices of divisional commissioners and deputy commissioners of concerned districts. It will also be the responsibility of all those price control cells to submit their daily reports to the Sindh chief minister about the prices of the essential commodities so that profiteers and hoarders could be checked effectively.
Nisar Ahmed Babar (Private Secretary), Section Officers Ali Gul Sanghrani and Muhammad Khan have been assigned the responsibility in the price control cell at the CM Secretariat.The general public has been advised to contact on phone numbers 021-99202051-4, 021-99207349 , 021- 99202065 and fax numbers 021-99202029, 021-99202007. In case of any overcharging and profiteering by the traders and shopkeepers round the clock action will be taken against those elements. – Dailytimes
