ISLAMABAD: The allied parties on Friday declared Raja Pervaiz Ashraf as the new prime minister of Pakistan after Yousuf Raza Gilani was disqualified by the Supreme Court of Pakistan on July 19, Media reported.
The announcement was made by Khursheed Shah of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Haider Abbas Rizvi of Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM), and Afrasiab Khattak of Awami National Party (ANP). – Dawn
