
ABBOTTABAD: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Information Minister Mian Iftikhar Hussain said on Sunday that no new tax was expected in the upcoming provincial budget.
Talking to the media after addressing a public meeting at Bannah area of Battagram, he said that a majority of people pay taxes in foreign countries and regard it as a national duty. Their governments use the tax money on welfare projects, he said, adding that unfortunately, well-to-do people in Pakistan are shy of paying taxes. He said that the ratio of subsidy would be maintained for farmers in purchase of seed. – Dailtimes
