JEDDAH: Five Pakistani calligraphers excelled in their artistic works by winning second position in an International competition for Arabic Calligraphy held in Makkah Mukarammah the other day.
Makkah Mukarramah First Competition for Arabic Calligraphy was organized by the City Government of Makkah in which 250 calligraphers from all over the world participated. Twenty calligraphers were finally selected which included five calligraphers from Pakistan.Those Calligraphers who were selected include Mohammed Ashraf Hira, Ajab Khan, Mohammed Asghar Ali, Hafiz Anjum Mahmood and Saeed Ahmad Naz.The calligraphic work of Pakistani artists was highly appreciated. In this competition each participant was asked to write Al-Shahadatain. – APP
