ISLAMABAD: Faisal Sakhi Butt, the chairman of Prime Minister’s Task Force on Islamabad, has directed the Capital Development Authority (CDA) to remove encroachments from markets across the city.
The chairman recently held a meeting with CDA members and took notice of the mushroom growth of encroachments in various markets.He told the authorities to take action in coordination with traders and market associations across the city.
He said that the increasing encroachments in the federal capital should not be ignored, as the kiosks opened on greenbelts and stalls set up on footpaths were causing nuisance to the residents.Pursuing the directives, CDA Chairman Engineer Farkhand Iqbal ordered formation of a proactive strategy for the removal of encroachments. – Dailytimes
