Low voltagePESHAWAR: To overcome the issue of low voltage in the provincial capital, Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa (K-P) Assembly Deputy Speaker Khushdil Khan has urged the Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (Pesco) to install the proposed transformer in Mathani Grid Station within the stipulated time.

Talking to the media on Tuesday, Khan said he has told Pesco to install the 132/11 KVA transformer by February 24, adding that no further excuses will be tolerated. He said the transformer was supposed to be installed within three moths, but despite passage of two months no progress has been made.

He assured to daily review the pace of work on the scheme and extend all possible assistance to Pesco to ensure that the deadline is met.Earlier in a briefing, Pesco stated that the foundations for the installation of the transformer had been laid but the project was being delayed due to unavailability of some essential equipment. -tribune
