LAHORE: Chief Justice Lahore High Court (LHC) has constituted full bench to hear the petition seeking registration of high treason case under article 6 of the constitution against Prime Minister (PM) Syed Yousuf Raza Gilani.
As per media reports, Justice Sheikh Azmat Saeed would preside over full bench while the other members are Justice Nasir Saeed Sheikh and Justice Chaudhry Shahid Saeed.The petitioner had taken plea in the petition that PM was not implementing Supreme Court (SC) decisions and on the other hand he was saying in public meetings that he was enforcing these verdicts in letter and spirit. This act on the part of PM is a bid to misguide the nation, therefore, case of high treason be instituted against him, he prayed.A petition was also moved in the court that court’s decision on preventing political activities in Aiwan-e- Sadr be got implemented.The full bench would take up both the petitions for regular hearing next week. – Onlinenews
