MALAKAND – Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Finance Minister Muhammad Hamayun Khan is going to resign from his slot very soon, reliable sources said on Sunday. They said member from KP-99 Malakand and KP Finance Minister Muhammad Hamayun Khan has decided to resign from his post, as he wants to contest next election from NA-35 Malakand. They said he wants to spend time on making necessary preparation for it, so he has decided to resign. They said he wants to spend most of his time with the people of his constituency, which is difficult for him as finance minister. Hamayun Khan has started several development projects in both tehsils of Malakand Agency, they said.

They said the people of Malakand and PPP workers were earlier angry with Hamayun Khan complaining that he spent most of his time out of his consistency. Realising this fact, Hamayun Khan has decided to resign from his position as finance minister and spend maximum time in Malakand. The PPP tehsil president and former union council nazim from Thana Jaded Muhammad Sadiq would be expectedly the PPP candidate from KP-99 Malakand, while Member Provincial Assembly Syed Muhammad Ali Shah Bacha might be the PPP candidate from PK-98 Malakand. Militant commander dies at hospital:

A surrendered militant commander, who was attacked by unknown persons at his residence, succumbed to injuries in a hospital in Peshawar on Sunday. Sources said that Shah Faisal, 48, was one of the former prominent commanders of Taliban, who had announced surrendering before security forces in a tribal jirga, was attacked by some unknown persons who had come to his hujra as guest few days back with AK-47 riffle. They said he resultantly got seriously injured and was shifted to Bajur Agency headquarters hospital and later to some hospital in Peshawar, adding that he succumbed to his injuries on Sunday. They said, earlier Shah Faisal was accused of abducting prominent tribal leaders, however he parted ways with Taliban leaders due to some differences. It is worth mentioning here that the political administration had forgiven Shah Faisal, however the local people had some reservations over his forgiveness after surrendering and they were pleased over his death. – Nation
