ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani on Tuesday discussed with President Asif Ali Zardari the current political and security situation in the country.In a meeting held at the Aiwan-e-Sadr, they also discussed the upcoming meeting of political leadership on September 29 to evolve national consensus on current situation also came under discussion.
The President reposed confidence in the ability of democratic leadership to stand united at all times that call for unity and expressed the hope that the country’s political leadership would be able to reach consensus on issues of national concerns.The devastation caused by floods in Sindh and the relief and rehabilitation measures were also discussed in the meeting.The President also hosted lunch for the Prime Minister.Later, the two leaders were also joined by Minister for Defence Ch. Ahmed Mukhtar, Secretary General to the President Salman Faruqui and Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir. – Onlinenews
