President, Governor Sindh discuss law and order situation in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Governor Sindh Dr. Ishratul Ebad Khan called on President Asif Ali Zardari here at the Aiwan-e-Sadr on Thursday night.Law and order situation in Karachi and the steps, afoot to restore peace and normalcy in Karachi, were discussed during the meeting.The Governor also briefed the President on latest situation in Karachi and the various measures being undertaken by the provincial government to quell the violent activities and target killings in the city.

The President during the meeting assured full support of the Federal Government to the provincial government in restoring law and order in Karachi and urged for taking stern action against all extortionists and criminal elements in Karachi in an across- the-board manner and regardless of political affiliations.The President said that all the political forces and general public, have to come forward and complement the provincial government’s efforts in maintaining law and order in Karachi and restoring normalcy to the city.The President later hosted dinner for the Governor Sindh. – APP
