ISLAMABAD: Chairman Public Accounts Committee, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan vehemently criticizing the appointment of Akhtar Buland Rana as Auditor General by the government has dissolved all special and sub-committees of Public Accounts Committee here on Wednesday.Chairman PAC Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan has said that the government’s plot to stop PAC from working has come to light as it appointed a controversial man on the constitutional post. He further said that PAC is a Parliamentary institution and it has deposited Rs 115 billion in National exchequer. He further said that PAC could not be made subordinate of government’s needs and designs.
He said that the government’s plot has cleared as it practices nepotism and has appointed a controversial man as Auditor General only to make the accountability process of the government’s accounts ineffective, which are being reviewed in PAC for the first time.Chaudhry Nisar further said that the appointment of a controversial man on the constitutional post has destroyed the Prime Minister’s status.On this juncture he directed to not form further special or sub-committees till PAC’s next meeting. – Onlinenews
