KARACHI: The youth of Karachi claim that it broke the world record of reciting national anthem together as thousand of young men recited national anthem on 64th Independence Day at Defence Stadium Karachi. The ceremony was held on the midnight, when clock struck 12:00 ‘O Clock in the night, thousands of young men recited national anthem by becoming single voice in the light of their cellular phone to express their patriotism and broke the world record.

The event organizer Abid Beli told Media that the participants were full of patriotism, which is sign of good future of the country. He said that some 5885 Pakistani youth read nationals anthem and grabbed the world record. It is worth mentioning here that earlier India had the world record in the Gunnies Book of World Record but on the request of Pakistan it was removed. Pakistan took the plea that the Indians recited “Bandy Mahtarm” which was not Indian national anthem so the name of India was removed. Latter Philippine made a new record when 5248 people read national anthem on 1st September 2009. – Onlinenews
