LAHORE: Punjab Assembly members and leaders of PML-Q, on the instructions of Federal Minister for Industries Chaudhry Pervez Elahi, continued their visits to different utility stores in Lahore to make sure grocery items were being provided at cheap rates. Punjab Assembly members including Amina Ulfat, Dr Saamia Amjad, Samina Khawar Hayat, Majida Zaidi and party worker Tehreem Saifi visited utility stores in Gawalmandi, Riwaz Garden, Islampura and Cooper Road on Thursday.
They also exchanged views with buyers and sellers over rates and quality of items. The people appreciated the efforts of Pervez Elahi due to which grocery items were available at cheaper rates at utility stores as compared to the Ramazan bazaar, established by the Punjab government. The Ramazan Bazaar has become ‘mehngai’ bazaar, they added. The MPs also asked the stores’ staff to display the Ramazan package properly and observe timings strictly. – Dailytimes
