Air Blue crash victims families demand of Govt for judicial enquiry, compensation

KARACHI: Air blue Crash Affectees Group (ACAG) held a press conference at KPC yesterday wherein they demanded of the government to hold proper judicial inquiry about the crash.They said that the families of the crash victims were still waiting for the announced compensation but the Air Blue management had failed to give any relief to them. Air blue had announced a programme for holding a memorial service for the deceased, under which two family members from each affected family would be invited for memorial service in Islamabad at the airlineís expense.

However, there had been no progress n any matter. Air blue Crash Affectees Group (ACAG) also held a candle light vigil at Fowwara Chowk after the press conference in memory of air crash victims.Flowers were placed before the portraits of the victims. Some of the group members held placards inscribed with the demands for justice.The programme was organized on the conclusion of a protest rally against Air blue, the aviation authorities and the government. The rally was taken out from the Karachi Press Club followed by a press conference and a reference programme at a local hotel. – Dailynews
