35 scholars to lecture during Ramadan

ABU DHABI : The UAE will host 35 Muslim scholars from 10 Arab and Asian countries during the holy month of Ramadan. The prominent scholars from Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Morocco, Yemen, Egypt, Syria, Mauritania, Pakistan, Malaysia and India will be guests of the President, His Highness Shaikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan, until the end of the holy month.

The visit of scholars aims to back the efforts of UAE scholars and provide a platform to interact with the local community and exchange expertise and information, and discuss the best approaches to highlight and promote Islamic values, tolerance and moderation.

The scholars visit programme is being followed up by Shaikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Presidential Affairs Minister, according to Dr Hamdan Musallam Al Mazrouei, Chairman of the General Authority for Islamic Affairs and Endowments and head of the programme. Details of scheduled lectures by 
the scholars will be later published, he said.

Al Mazrouei urged the youth to seize the opportunity to take part in Ramadan gatherings and interact with the visiting scholars. – Khaleejnews
