QUETTA: PM, Yousaf Raza Gilani has said that PPPP’s reconciling policy should not be misconstrued as a sign of weakness by anyone, as this vision of late Benazir Bhutto would continue forever.Addressing party workers and office bearers of PPPP in Balochistan Provincial Capitol the PM said that activists and workers were the strong pillars of party, and the jubilant zeal of the party activists was a mirror of party’s lasting life.Reminding his crowd that he had promised to hold the next cabinet meeting in Balochistan, he said that the meeting would be concluded on Wednesday, while the meeting dealing with Balochistan Package had also been summoned same day.He said that PPPP was a major p[arty repersenti8ng all four Provinces and as such was quite near to hearts and minds of Baloch citizens.PM also congratulated party workers upon the astounding victory in AJK elections, and said that it proved that despite the routine differences within party ranks, the party was united in its ideological standing.On the occasion the PM also advised all activists and party workers to keep close coordination and touch with masses in order to win their hearts and minds, and vowed to strengthen the cause of poor and women.He also cited resolving some very critical issues like, NFC Awards, Provincial autonomy, passing and implementation of 18th Amendment among many others.
He also invited ‘nationalist’ parties to resolve all differences through talks, warning anybody to use the excuse of past grievances for endeavoring to break the Country.He also scoffed at elements who had accused PPPP of being a risk for the Country, as it was through the efforts of the party that these very elements could become PM for their third consecutive term.The PM also cited numerous sacrifices laid by 5000 Army and security personnel, besides 30,000 martyred citizens for the cause of war against terrorism, vowing that the entire Nation was united against this menace.He also expressed Pakistan’s keen desire for good relations and stability within neighboring Afghanistan, besides having conducive trade with both Afghanistan and Iran alike.On the occasion he also announced that efforts were underway to push in America for mutual and bilateral talks with Pakistan. – Onlinenews
