To make Karachi an arms-free city, a door-to-door search operation should be launched and checking system should be enhanced at exist and entry points of the city, he demanded. He was of the view that all parties should adopt the rule of “Live and let alive”. Patriotism should be spread by all parties and Fatwas against unjust murder should be distributed among masses.

The SIC leader proposed to form Aman committees, comprised of people from all schools of thoughts. He said that the government should launched an operation against all miscreants with the support of intelligence agencies and police department should also be provided with required equipments, arms and other facilities.Meanwhile, transporters have urged the government to provide them due protection in the wake of current wave of violence. According to a statement of Anjuman-e-Ettehad Bus Malikan Karachi, the officer bearers of transporters’ association including its president, Mohammed Ashraf and Ch Hussain urged the provincial government to take adequate arrangements in this regard.
