KARACHI: A Pakistani family got reunited after 11-year humiliation by Indian authorities. A man, Shahid told media that he went to Meerath in India in 2000 along with his six children to meet his in-laws where Indian intelligence personnel suspected him of being spy and arrested him. He said: “Indian authorities found him innocent after six years detention and released him in 2006. They deported him but his children got stuck in India because of legal formalities.” He said his children were unable to reach homeland because the validity of their passports and visas were expired. He said Pakistani and Indian authorities were not taking up the issue seriously and during this period one of his child passed away. He struggled himself and got their five children, who arrived Pakistan on Wednesday through Wagah border. – Dailytimes
