Rs2.5m heist at goldsmith shop

KHANEWAL: Four armed dacoits looted the shop of a goldsmith here in Kabirwala on Saturday. According to detail, four armed bandits, riding a car, entered the Jewellery shop of Abdul Sattar Noor. The culprits held the shopkeeper hostage at gunpoint and made off with gold ornaments worth Rs2.5 million.Following the incident, a large number of traders and people gathered and staged a protest against the rising incident of dacoities. The protest resulted in suspension of traffic on Kabirwala-Khanewal-Jhang Road. They demanded DPO Muhammad Waqar Abbasi to immediately arrest the bandits.They also demanded action against the Kabirwala Police for their failure to control crime in the area. – Nation
