PESHAWAR: Provincial Minister for Secondary & Elementary Education, Sardar Hussein Babak has said that out of 249 schools destroyed in the devastated earthquake of October 2005, the construction of 91 have been completed while work on 64 was in progress.This, he stated while replying quarries of the legislators during the question hour of the provincial assembly on Tuesday. He said that construction of the remaining 94 schools would be started soon, saying the government is framing strategy and funds were being provided by foreign donors.He said that those schools, which had no student, would be merged with the nearest primary school. The government had already started second shift in different schools under the public-private partnership. – Thenews
