Karachi: Zulfiqar Mirza goes on leave, Sharjeel Memon appointed as information minister

Sindh Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Mirza went on leave while information minister  Sharjeel Memon took oath as Sindh Informat.MQM, PPP’s coalition partner in the Centre as well as Sindh was demanding the removal of Zulfiqar Mirza for a long time which has started to be implemented.Talking to media at Governor’s House, Sindh Chief Minister Syed Qaim Ali Shah said that provincial Home Minister Dr Zulfiqar Ali Mirza intended to go abroad for medical treatment and he himself would look after the affairs of the Home Ministry in absence of Mirza.Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan said that maintenance of law and order was on priority of the government and stern action would be taken against extortionists.Earlier, Sharjeel Inam Memon took oath as Sindh minister. Sindh Governor Dr Ishratul Ebad Khan administered oath to Sharjeel Inam Memon.The Sindh Chief Minister including Speaker Sindh Assembly and other personalities of the government were also present on the occasion of oath taking ceremony. – Dunya
