KARACHI: The federal government is likely to announce a public holiday on the World Cup cricket semi-final between Pakistan and India on Wednesday. The Daily Times learnt on Sunday that Federal Interior Secretary Chaudhry Qamar Zaman had already sent a summary recommending a holiday to the Establishment Division. Sources said before leaving to India to attend a two-day meeting between Home Secretaries at Delhi, Qamar Zaman sent a summary to the Establishment Division regarding announcement of a public holiday on March 30. – Dailytiomes
