KARACHI: As many as 24 development projects and schemes worth of more than Rs 9.702 billion have been approved by the Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) held under the chairmanship of Additional Chief Secretary (Development) P&D Mohammad Ishaq Lashari at P&D Committee Room here on Thursday.These projects were already cleared by technical committee meeting held the other day after detailed discussion and observation. Representatives of Live Stock and Fisheries, Rural Development, Health, Education, Transport & Communication, Sports & Youth Affairs Departments attended the meeting.On the occasion Lashari obtained the detailed deliberations from the administrative department about their respective development schemes for the benefit and welfare of the common people.The meeting approved five schemes of Live Stock & Fisheries Sector worth of Rs 5.220 billion, eight schemes of Health worth of Rs 2.919 billion, one scheme of Rural Development worth Rs 80 million, three schemes of Education worth Rs 41 million, one scheme of Sports and Youth Affairs-construction of sports stadium at Shahdadpur, Tando Adam and Adilpur with the cost of Rs190 million, besides six schemes of Transport & Communication scheme worth of Rs 118 million and one scheme of strengthen plan of Infrastructure Nawab Shah with a cost of Rs 1134.832 million have been approved by the forum – Dailytimes
