National Champs Data Steel to feature in Fauji Cement Bridge

KARACHI:Around twenty teams from across the country including National Champions Data Steel will be taking part in All Pakistan Fauji Cement Bridge Tournament being staged at Lahore Gymkhana from February 11 to 13, Pakistan Bridge Federation (PBF) announced on Tuesday.“The event which will comprise of team championship and Pairs competition will carry a lucrative purse of Rs.625,000,” Tournament Director Ihsan Qadir said.Winning team will picked Rs.150,000, runners-up get Rs.125,000 with third position claiming Rs.100,000. The next two teams will pickup Rs.75,000, Rs.50,000 respectively.The winner in Pairs event will pick-up Rs.50,000, runners-up gets Rs.30,000 and third placed pair collects Rs.20,000.Five Karachi teams included Reigning National Champion Data Steel, Giants, Chandna, Puri and Solox.Data Steel also won the Bridge Federation of Asia and Middle East (BFAME) Seniors title in Amman (Jordan) two years ago.Prominent teams from Lahore included Aces, Pirzada, Sherdils, Yummy, Tiger while teams from Rawalpindi/Islamabad included Tariq Aces, Sasha, Cybers etc.Karachi teams:
Data Steel: Tariq Rasheed Khan, Pervaiz Mirza, Rashid-ul-Ghazi, Tehsin Gheewala, Javed Miran and Tahir Masud.Chandna: Shakeel Chandna. Navaid Anjum, Farhat Abbas and Amir Yasin.  Giants: Masud Mazhar, Hamed Mohuddin, Brig ® Tony Mahmood, Prof.Subhani.Solox: Gulzar Bilal, Hasan Askari, Farrukh, Junaid Saeed.Puri: Mubashir Puri, Khalid Mohiuddin, A.Khaliq, Nazir Reza.Jehangir: Anwer Kizilbash, Ghulam, Jehangir, Izzat Khalil – APP
