LAHORE:Senior PML-Q leader and former chief minister Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi on Tuesday alleged that the PML-N chief [Nawaz Sharif] was enjoying the cold weather of Murree when the inferno was destroying the Shah Alam Market [on Monday].In a press statement, Pervaiz demanded the provincial government to assess the damages and hand out the victims ‘valid cheques’ as immediate relief. “These cheques should not meet the fate of the Moon Market and Data Darbar cheques,” he said. Chaudhary Pervaiz Elahi claimed that the delay in the arrival of fire engines at the scene of the incident had caused huge damages, while the few fire engines available with the Lahore Fire Brigade were busy watering the Jati Umrah farms.
