PESHAWAR: The Ambassador of Japan in Pakistan, Chihiro Atsumi called on the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor, Owais Ahmed Ghani at Governor’s House, Peshawar to discuss matters pertaining to the situation in the region.
According to press release issued here on Thursday, he remained with the Governor for some time and discussed matters pertaining to the situation in the region. The respected guest who was also accompanied by Takaroshi Nishikata, Chief Representative and Hiroko Watanabe, Project Formation Advisor of Japan International Cooperation Agency in Pakistan especially apprised the Governor about the role and services of their organization in supplementing the efforts of the government for socio-economic uplift of the people of the province as well as FATA.
Measures underway for reconstruction and rehabilitation of militancy as well as super flood affected areas also came under discussion and the Governor welcomed the contribution of the government and people of Japan including which is channeled through JICA in this respect.
