ISLAMABAD: A two-member national ski contingent has returned to country after attending a training camp at Harrachov in Czech Republic. The two-week long training camp on cross-country skiing was organized and sponsored by International Ski Federation, said a press release issued here on Wednesday.The training was aimed at launching X-country event as a regular feature of national ski competitions and is expected to help Pakistan ski team to qualify for X-country event besides the Alpine skiing in Olympic Winter Games’ 2014 to be held in Sochi, Russia.On return, the skiers met President Ski Federation of Pakistan (SFP), Air Marshal Tahir Rafique Butt and apprised him about the training activities, they underwent abroad.The President SFP expressed the hope that the skiers would fully utilize their training experience in starting X-country events at Federation’s ski venue at Naltar – APP
