ISLAMABAD:Federal Finance Minister Dr.Abdul Hafeez Sheikh has said that the government is taking various measures to improve the national economy.He was breifing a delegation of parliamentarians from different political parties about the current economic situation of the country here Tuesday.Dr.Abdul Hafeez Sheikh who is also the head of Parliamentary Committee constituted by the Prime Minister on emerging national and economic issues told the delegation that the exports this year would touch US $ 20 billion and remittances from abroad would be over US $ 10 billion which has never been witnessed in the country’s history.The delegation was comprised of Senator Professor Khursheed Ahmed of Jamat-e-Islami, MNA Jehangir Khan Tareen, MNA Munir Khan Orakzai, MNA Maulvi Asmatullah,Senator Mohammad Ghafran Khan, Senator Abdur Razzaq and Senator Wali Mohammad Badeni.Syed Naveed Qamar, Minister for Petroleum and Natural Resources, Raja Pervaiz Aashraf, Minister for Water and Power, Ms. Hina Rabbani Khar, Minister of State for Finance and Secretary Finance, Dr. Waqar Masood were also present on the occassion – APP
