KARACHI: The Sindh government has provided training to over 100,000 youth under the Benazir Shaheed Youth Programme (BSYP).This was stated by Adviser to Sindh Chief Minister on Information Sharmila Farooqi, while addressing a certificate distribution ceremony of Benazir Bhutto Shaheed Youth Development Programme Phase-II batch-II, which was organized by Khowaja Institute of Information Technology here on Monday.She said that the youngsters after getting training were earning a respectable livelihood, which was a great achievement of the present democratic government and was in accordance with Shaheed Mohtarma Benazir Bhutto’s vision.Congratulating the young boys and girls who got training, she said that a bright future was awaiting them if they continued their hard work. The adviser that the Sindh government had provided 60,000 jobs to the youth on merit and trained over 100,000 boys and girls in various trades to enable them to earn their bread and butter.She pointed out that the present century was the century of information technology and only those nations and generations could make progress who would excel in this technology.She added that our new generation was second to none in talent and it was our duty to motivate them in the right direction. Today’s young men should focus their potential to get education and keep themselves away from the trends of extremism and terrorism.
