LAHORE: A 15-member Afghan academic delegation visited LUMS, a visit organised by Konard-Adenauer Stiftung (KAS), a foundation of the Federal Republic of Germany. The 15 Afghan professors are visting Pakistan from January 17-27. The purpose of the visit was to promote and strengthen contacts between Afghan and Pakistani universities as well as to map out details of possible areas of cooperation such as the exchange of faculty and staff and joint research opportunities. The group visited the Lahore University of Management Sciences (LUMS) on Friday. Renowned senior research scholar and former vice chancellor of the Quaid-e-Azam University, Islamabad, Dr M Qasim Jan, accompanied the delegation.
