LAHORE: Pakistan top tennis star Aisamul Haq and his Indian partner Rohan Bophanna moved into the second round of doubles event of the Australian Open on Thursday. They scored an easy 6-3, 6-0 win over Brazilian pair of Andre Sa and France Ferreiro. The Pak-Indian duo struck excellent tennis with coordination and planning to outplay their rivals in all departments of the game. Aisam-Rohan dominated the proceedings by hitting excellent serves and strong returns on the serves of their opponents.They broke the serve of the Brazilians once in the first set and thrice in the second set to claim a convincing success. In the second round, they will face French pair of Arnaud Clement and Jeremy Chardy. In the mix doubles event, Aisam is pairing with his last year’s US Open partner Kaveta Peschke of Czech Republic and they will face an Australian pair of Chris Guccione and Rennae Stubbs on Friday – Dailytimes
