PESHAWAR:The Khyber Pakhtunhwa Assembly on Monday reposed unanimous confidence and trust in the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and as co-chairman, Pakistan People’s Party (PPP).The resolution was moved by parliamentary leader of PPP in Khyber Pakhtunhwa Assembly, Abdul Akbar Khan soon after the recitation from Holy Quraan. He requested the Speaker, Kiramatullah Khan for suspending the rules to move the resolution.The Speaker told the mover that the resolution would be moved after the completion of the question-hour. Senior Minister, Bashir Ahmad Bilour, who is also the parliamentary leader of ANP in the provincial assembly, also joined in requests for the suspension of the rules for the presentation of the resolution.
On the insistence of the parliamentary leaders of both coalition partners in the province, the speaker suspended the rules and allowed Abdul Akbar Khan to present his resolution in the house.The resolution said that the august house of the Khyber Pakhtunhwa Assembly show its fullest confidence and trust in the President of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Mr. Asif Ali Zardari, who was elected by securing overwhelming majority of votes from the four provincial assemblies, Senate and the National Assembly of Pakistan being Co-Chairman of the Pakistan Peoples Party as President of Pakistan – Dailymailnews
