LAHORE: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani has convened a meeting of the Council of Common Interests (CCI) on the issue of low gas supply in the country, which will be attended by all the chief ministers.This was decided by the Prime Minister during a meeting with Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif, who called on the former at his residence here on Sunday.Both the leaders discussed the current political situation as well as matters pertaining to security and economy in the country.Gilani said that grand economic reconciliation was required for the collective good of the country.“All political forces will be taken along on all economic issues like the RGST (Reformed General Sales Tax) to harness economic reconciliation”, he said.“Efforts for economic reconciliation are vital for creating political stability conducive to sustainable economic growth”, the Prime Minister stressed.The Premier said that resolution of economic as well as security issuesshould be the top priority of political parties. Eradication of terrorism,religious extremism, resolution of the energy crisis and economic welfare of the common man required unconditional support from all political forces in the country.Gilani said that through the repeal of the authoritarian 17th Amendment and passage of the 18th Amendment the parliament had been made sovereign and supreme.Shahbaz Sharif apprised the Premier of ongoing development projects especially in less-priviliged areas of the province.He lauded the policy of the federal government of taking all political forces on board on all issues.The Chief Minister invited Gilani to visit the Murree hills during winter snowfall – App
